GLOBAL DESIGN DIRECTOR - Architectural Jobs in Sydney, Melbourne & Australia

We are very excited to announce that we are recruiting for an amazing senior level opportunity to become the Global Interior Design Director for an Internationally recognised retail chain. Only one catch if you are based in Melbourne - this is a Sydney based role!!! therefore you would need to be in a position to relocate there for this opportunity. The crux of this role means that you will be responsible for the design direction and construction of numerous high profile stores across Australia and Asia.

Your highly creative approach will represent your keen sense of style and attention to the finest details, balanced by your dynamic communication and collaborative skills, along with the confidence to manage multiple and at times conflicting priorities will see you well placed to take on this rare opportunity. Some international travel will be required.

The right candidate will need to have a very minimum of 8 years experience, preferably with key exposure in high end, boutique retail sectors, with exceptional concept design skills and a proven track record of running and delivering projects and consultant teams. You will have worked with recognised design groups in a key design role, or alternatively have worked in a similar in-house design capacity, ideally within the beauty or luxury goods sector.

You will be working along side the marketing team in order to ensure that the brand identity is being maintained through their evolving design stages. Whilst this is a definitely a senior role, you will need to be prepared to roll up your sleeves and produce documentation when the need arises. Proficiency with CAD software, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign is essential. Broadly, this role will span all aspects of design and construction of their interior environments, from concept to opening, managing design standards along the way and ensuring brand consistency globally through constant design reviews and ongoing innovation.
